Microliter Syringe Pump
This system controls a micro liter syringe pump, fluid delivery system. This system is an answer to very accurate delivery of very small amounts of fluid. Draw rates and dispense rates are programmable via sliders or by typing into the numeric controls. Not only is the flow rate programmable but the flow rate profile is also programmable. The two green control valves are special zero-dead-zone valves so that there is no fluid left in the valve after switching. These valves control fluid flow into and out of the syringe pump. This system can run manually of automatically. The graphics are animated to reflect the fluid volumes while the system is running.  In automatic mode the left valve is open and the right valve is closed. The system then draws fluid into the syringe from the draw tank. When the syringe fills to its Set Point, the left valve closes and the right valve opens. The syringe then pumps fluid through the output nozzle at the Dispense Rate.  This system was invented to facilitate field testing of air quality for the military during battle. Specifically the presence or absence of chemical and biological weapons.
