• IAS Tube Label Inspection System

The IAS Tube Label Inspection / Measurement System measures the distance along the outside circumference of Pharmaceutical and Cosmetics tubes.

Operation:

1) Select a mandrel to best fit the tube size and place mandrel into test fixture.
2) Move the camera along the tube and rotate to the tube registration mark. Zero the rotation counter.

3) Move the camera along the tube and rotate to view the magnified label position to be measured.
4) Read the circumference distance in 0.01" increments.

Features:

Provides a convenient and repeatable way to hold the tube.
Magnifies the measurement area to make measurement much easier and repeatable.
Calculates the distance in common units: inches or millimeters.
Reduces operator error by providing a consistent measurement platform and method.
Increase measurement repeatability due to the fixture’s rigidity and measurement resolution.
Greatly decrease the measurement time.
Provide an electronic communications system via Ethernet or Serial link to data collection systems.
Mandrels are available for 5/8, 7/8, ¾, 1, 1-3/16, 1-3/8, 1.5, 1-5/8, 1-3/4, 2 and 2.3 inch tubes. Custom mandrels are also available.

Results:

The tube measurement is sent to a remote data collection system via the serial port.
