I/O Enclosure

• IAS Splash Proof Smart Star Enclosure

The IO enclosure below contains a Smart star rack with Zworld CPU, several Zworld I/O cards, one IAS Pic I/O card and custom connector I/O boards. The connector boards route the rack I/O card signals to the proper connectors for connection to system devices. For convenience, the connector boards may contain external device power supplies, special relays or other types of signal conditioning.

The enclosure I O shown is a Splash-proof cabinet, which includes three pieces:

1) A bottom plate with 4 keyhole-mounting slots (enclosure 4x) and four threaded studs to attach the main enclosure.

2) A top plate with self-aligning thumbscrews and gasket material for splash sealing.

3) A five sided main enclosure for the Smart star rack. The main enclosure has self-aligning nuts to receive the cover plate thumbscrews and four holes to receive the mounting plate studs.

4) Enclosure with watertight connector.

This particular enclosure was designed to mount upside down in a hard to reach space. The easy-to-use, retained, self-aligning thumbscrews and nuts are perfect for this application.
